The Toyota Camry has always been one of those cars that blur the line between mid and high- luxury sedans—often times leaving only its low price tag as an indication that it is not a top-of-the-line Lexus. This year, the Camry comes with a new design, losing some of that extra bulkiness from the 2014 model, as well as a number of upgrades adding to the vehicle’s comfort and performance levels, keeping it one of the most dependable sedans on the road.
One big change we find this year is the 2015 Toyota Camry’s platform. To
create a more comfortable ride, the chassis have been widened by a little less
than half an inch. This doesn’t sound like much, but this slight alteration
makes a world of difference by providing tighter cornering and offering more
steering control. Also, the frame was extended by 1.8 inches to provide the
needed rigidity to prevent the car from floating all over the road.
Along with its redesigned frame and body comes a newly
restored interior. The 2015 Camry model offers more soft-touch paneling and easy to
reach buttons than ever before. And its newly formatted frame actually adds to
its interior roominess by offering more storage space, as well as extra leg and
headroom. Also new this year is a 4.2 inch LCD screen, offering the latest in
technological connections and navigation.
One of the more important upgrades to the Toyota Camry this year is
found in its safety features. In addition to its ten airbags, Toyota has added
a lane departure system, a blind spot monitoring system (with rear cross
traffic alert), and a state-of-the-art cruise control system that monitors for
possible forward collision. With this level of driver awareness, the Camry
could be the safest sedan on the market.
